Web Accessibility Certification
Our web accessibility certification includes a complete site review using international standards and provides a certification of compliance. If the site review identifies potential accessibility issues on a website, it includes guidance on how to address the accessibility concerns, and guidance on addressing them. While the web accessibility certification audit produces a list of possible issues, this is only the starting point. Our objective is to help identify concerns and provide options for remediation and certification. Should any accessibility issues be uncovered, our team prioritizes the concerns found in the website accessibility audit, works with you to develop a remediation plan, and helps you to understand the resources required. The objective of the web accessibility certification audit is to deliver an accessible website that is in compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508, and ADA requirements. Should the audit discover areas that need attention, our staff provides a path towards remediation and certification.
Web accessibility certification audit process
The web accessibility certification audit process occurs through a 5 step process:
- Web accessibility scan. The automated scan and a manual review of scan data and website pages by accessibility staff is used to determine compliance or identify issues which are then organized and prioritized. A report report is generated from the data.
- Stakeholder meeting to review accessibility report, determine process for remediation efforts, identify required resources.
- Remediation of web pages, if necessary.
- Re-test pages to validate remediation efforts.
- A website certification of conformance is issued to demonstrate compliance with WCAG, Section 508 and WCAG .
The web accessibility certification process involves the manual evaluation, verification, and prioritization of data by accessibility experts who review findings of multiple automated reporting tools.
A web accessibility certification audit is available for a one-time fee that varies depending upon the size and complexity of the site, and whether accessibility staff will then be involved in the remediation process.
